The slogan was used, with documented and dated sayings, to describe the founder, Sheikh Jassim bin Muhammad bin Thani, quoting scholars, politicians and merchants from outside Qatar who knew him, highlighting his virtues and describing how he was with Qatar and its people and men who supported him.
In 2009, the slogan was used, accompanied by verses from the founder’s poems that reflect his vision of building the state as a unified entity, as the characteristics of the Qatari personality emerge from the reality of these poems. The founder, on 18 December 1878, succeeded his father, Sheikh Muhammad bin Thani, in leading the country towards establishment and unity.
