This phrase is quoted from one of the lines of the Qatari national anthem, which says:
“Proceed on the path of the ancestors…Proceed with the guiding lights of the prophets.”
This part was chosen as a spoken motto to assure us as Qataris – today – that we must abide by the message of the first heroes who suffered greatly and paid a heavy price for unity.
This slogan was used in conjunction with a verse of the founder, in which he says:
We were patient for it, time has never shaken our determination, and with it we overcame every power.
