Qatar Development Bank

Qatar Development Bank (QDB) was established in 1997; it is a developmental entity owned by the government at 100% government. It was established to support and develop investment in local industries in order to promote Qatar’s economic development and diversification in the State of Qatar, with a focus on the private sector. Qatar Development Bank has varied its activities, so that it could contribute to the development of sectors other than industry. The Bank launched a number of programs, plans and strategies for development and improvement in the field of entrepreneurship. The Bank has developed its strategy in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030 that aims at enhancing and facilitating the development and growth of private sector activities in the fields of the private sector, which will generate various economic and social benefits for the State of Qatar in the long term, in order to create a sustainable economy.
